Yes.  At Brightondale we allow up to 2 pets.  Cats are welcome, as are dogs up to 35 pounds.
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required per pet and there is an additional monthly pet fee of $25.

Eight dinners or brunches are included with the Independent Living rent. Per the new Minnesota Department of Health regulations, Assisted Living licensed buildings cannot include meals. So, meals for Assisted Living and Reflections Dementia Care are optional and are priced out as “a la carte” or as meal packages if you choose to enroll in a plan. Ask our sales and marketing team about the dining experience sheet that includes more about our program as well as the benefits.

Brightondale is a private pay community.  We do however, work with many long-term care insurance policies.

Yes.  Limited storage is available onsite for an additional monthly fee

For Independent Senior Living, all utilities are included except for electricity and phone.

For Assisted Living and Dementia Care, all utilities are included except phone.

Not necessarily. If your loved one is not wandering and is still able to push a personal call pendant, they may be suitable for assisted living. We have a registered nurse available to do an assessment to determine whether or not your loved one is appropriate for assisted living or truly needs a secure memory care neighborhood.

YES – All apartments have kitchens but the studios do not. Independent living apartments offer a sink with garbage disposal, refrigerator, an electric range, dishwasher, and a microwave. Assisted Living offers a sink, refrigerator, and electric range. Some Dementia Care rooms have kitchens, but we also offer private dining.

We are a private pay community, and we don’t accept any government assistance.

No. We require a $1500 refundable, security deposit. There is no initial buy-in. Rent is charged on a month-to-month basis.

A registered nurse is onsite Monday-Friday during business hours and on call 24/7/365. The nurse is available to assist residents living in assisted living and dementia care. In senior housing, there isn’t a nurse available.

It depends on whether the resident is signed up to receive care from our care team. In independent living, there is an emergency ‘call’ pull cord in the bathroom that alerts community first responders (fireman, paramedics) similar to calling 9-1-1 from your own home. In assisted living, assisted living plus there is a personal pendant that alerts our onsite staff tend to emergencies. In memory care, there is staff onsite 24/7 to attend to residents and respond to emergencies.

Our wait list varies between apartment styles. Since COVID-19, it’s been more difficult to predict.

Our wait list is flexible. If you choose to say ‘no’ when we offer you an apartment, you don’t fall to the bottom of the wait list. We simply go to the next person.

As homes have been selling very quickly in the current market, we highly recommend you reserve your apartment and then put your home on the market.

Yes, we have scheduled shuttle service to area shopping, dining, medical appointments and special activities.
